Description

Its striking white variegation, which is the result of a natural genetic mutation and is unique to each individual leaf, makes this Monstera a coveted collector's item among plant fans. As this type of variegation is unstable, it can happen that the plant turns green or forms completely white leaves. In this case, the plant should be cut back accordingly (see care information).
The product photos show examples of the plant. You will receive a specimen that corresponds to the product photos in terms of size, shape and color.
- Delivery: in a 5 cm pot
- Growth type: climbing
- Origin: Tropical regions of Central America to South America
- Other names:  Window leaf, Swiss cheese plant

Ben's tips on plant care:

- Location/light requirements: Partial shade, avoid bright/direct sunlight.
- Substrate: Ben's Babyplant Soil, special soil, later Ben's Philodendron & Monstera Soil, special soil
- Temperature: optimal at 22-28° C, do not allow to cool below 18° C
- Watering: Water well approx. once a week, keep the substrate moist but avoid waterlogging. Water less in winter.
- Humidity: Requires high humidity.
- Addition of nutrients: In spring/summer approx. every 2 weeks with liquid fertilizer.
- Should be repotted approx. every 2 years.
- Avoid draughts. Remove dust from the leaves regularly with a slightly damp cloth.
- If the plant becomes increasingly green or only produces white leaves, it should be cut back slightly, taking the white part of the stem as a guide. If you cut it back above a leaf node that has both green and white tissue, there is a good chance that leaves with the appropriate variegation will grow again.
