- Substrate: mounted on xaxim or in well-drained orchid substrate with good drainage
- Temperature: optimal at 18-26° C (day), 14-21° C (night)
- Watering: Spray regularly when attached, but allow leaves to dry well. Otherwise, water very moderately when the substrate is thoroughly dry. Use only lukewarm water with low lime content. Avoid waterlogging at all costs.
- Humidity: needs moderately high humidity, can be placed in a terrarium or orchid display case.
- Nutrient addition: during the growing season, fertilize moderately every 2 weeks with diluted orchid fertilizer. In autumn less frequently
- Brassavola can tolerate brighter light, but then also needs more humidity and more air circulation.
