Description
Of all carnivorous plants, the tubular plants or Sarracenia are the most effective as prey traps for insects, as it is not uncommon to observe that their tubes are filled to the top after some time. Sarracenia also offers an unusual and decorative sight, not only because of its tubular leaves, but also because of the pretty flowers it produces in spring.
The product photos show examples of the plant. You will receive a specimen that corresponds to the product photos in terms of size, shape and color.

Ben's tips on plant care:
- Location/light requirements: sunny to bright, but avoid permanent intense sunlight
- Substrate: Ben's Carnivorous Plants Soil
- Temperature: optimal at 20 to 27° C
- Watering: Ensure that the substrate is permanently moist when keeping them in a terrarium. Only use lukewarm water with a low lime content. If kept indoors, we recommend waterlogging, i.e. placing a saucer under the pot with a small amount of water and topping it up regularly.
- Humidity: requires high humidity, use a humidifier or place in the terrarium
- Addition of nutrients: Do not add fertilizer as the plant gets its nutrients from its prey.
- If the pot becomes too small, repot only in summer during the growth phase.
- When keeping in a terrarium, ensure that the terrarium is well ventilated.
- Brown and dried out canes can be cut back in spring before the new shoots appear.
