Description
Also called Red Mambo and Jewel Alocasia, this pretty plant is one of the rarest Alocasia species. It captivates especially with its purple shimmering leaves with the distinctive leaf veins.

Ben's tips on plant care:
• Habitat/Light requirements: bright, indirect sunlight.
• Substrate: Ben's Babyplant Soil, later Ben's Syngonium & Alocasia Soil
• Temperature: optimum at 18-24° C (day), 12-15° C (night)
• Watering: Keep soil moist, but avoid waterlogging, ideally water with rainwater that is not too cold and deficient in lime
• Humidity: needs moderately high humidity, can be placed in the bathroom
• Nutrient addition: in spring/summer once a month with organic fertiliser. Fertilise moderately with organic liquid fertiliser once a month.
• Grows slowly, repotting every 2 years is sufficient.
• Avoid draughts.
