Description
Begonia Rex Chayo is a cultivar of Begonia rex and enchants with the impressive play of colors of its leaves, whose black-green and burgundy hues are covered with silvery shimmering speckles, which almost look like countless dewdrops due to their relief-like elevation and have thus given this pretty begonia its nickname.

Ben's tips on plant care:
- Location/light requirements: Partial shade, indirect sunlight
- Substrate: high-quality houseplant soil with humus content
- Temperature: optimal at 15-20° C
- Watering: keep moist and water as soon as the top layer of substrate begins to dry, but avoid waterlogging, ideally water with rainwater that is not too cold and low in lime
- Humidity: requires high humidity, spray regularly (but leaves should be able to dry out afterwards!) or use a humidifier
- Addition of nutrients: during the growth phase approx. 1x per week with organ. Liquid fertilizer
- Repot when the soil is densely rooted.
- Avoid heating air or draughts.
