Description
This small pitcher plant (Nepenthes from Borneo) in a snail shell provides a decorative sight with an exotic flair. The snail shell is filled with sphagnum moss, which can hold and store water and moisture for a very long time, making it a very good substrate for pitcher plants. The pitcher plant is ideal for keeping in a terrarium, but can also be kept on a windowsill, in a conservatory or greenhouse if its need for high humidity is taken into account. If kept too dry, it will not form pitchers.
The product photos show examples of the plant. You will receive a specimen that corresponds to the product photos in terms of size, shape and coloring.

Ben's tips on plant care:
- Location/light requirements: bright to full sun, supplement light requirements with HID lamps if necessary
- Substrate: Ben's Premium Sphagnum moss
- Temperature: optimal at 26-30° C (day), 20-24° C (night)
- Watering: Keep the substrate constantly moist, but avoid waterlogging. Only use lukewarm water with a low lime content.
- Humidity: requires high humidity, use a humidifier or place it in the terrarium
- Addition of nutrients: Do not give fertilizer! The plant gets its nutrients from the leaves, substrate and prey.
- If the plant has increased considerably in volume at some point and the roots no longer fit into the snail shell, it should be repotted. However, only during the growth phase in summer, as this is when it is at its strongest.
