The Midnight Pearl is a real must-have for lovers of dark plants, because its beautiful leaves, which first appear curled up when new shoots appear and then slowly unfold into their wavy shape, look almost like black leather due to their smooth texture and deep dark color. It is difficult to find in the trade and is therefore highly sought after by collectors.

Ben's tips on plant care:
- Location/light requirements: semi-shady to shady
- Substrate: Sphagnum moss
- Temperature: optimal at 26-28° C (day), 20° C (night) (not colder than 18°C)
- Watering: keep substrate moist to wet at all times, avoid drying out at all costs
- Humidity: requires high humidity, use a humidifier or place in the bathroom or terrarium
- Addition of nutrients: in spring/summer, fertilize moderately every 2 weeks with diluted organ. Fertilize with liquid fertilizer
- Avoid draughts.
