Description

In the wild, it has only been found on the Indonesian island of Biak, which makes this distinctive Hoya a sought-after rarity among collectors. It captivates with its silvery speckles on the bright green leaves as well as with its delicate yellow flowers, which exude a scent of butternut squash.

Ben's tips on plant care:

- Location/light requirements: bright, indirect sunlight
- Substrate: Ben's Hoya Soil Special Soil
- Temperature: optimal at 24-32° C (day), 18-24° C (night)
- Watering: water moderately every 7-10 days, the substrate may dry out slightly, avoid waterlogging at all costs
- Humidity: requires moderately high humidity, use a humidifier or spray regularly, but then allow the leaves to dry well.
- Addition of nutrients: in spring/summer, fertilize every 2 weeks with diluted organ. Liquid fertilizer moderately every 2 weeks in spring/summer, every 4-6 weeks in winter
- Repot approximately every 2 years when the soil is densely rooted.
- Keeping the plant dry towards the end of winter encourages flower production.
