Description
Marcgravia is also known as the shingle plant because its delicate leaves curl like shingles on the surface on which they grow. This pretty species from Panama is perfect for planting on the back and side walls of terrariums, where it will quickly climb up if cared for properly.
The product photos show examples of the plant. You will receive a specimen that corresponds to the product photos in terms of size, shape and coloring.

Ben's tips on plant care:
- Location/light requirements: bright, but avoid direct sunlight.
- Substrate: well-drained orchid soil
- Temperature: optimal at 24-28° C (day), 18-22° C (night)
- Watering: keep the substrate moist and water as soon as the top layer of substrate begins to dry, using lukewarm, low-lime water, but avoid waterlogging.
- Humidity: requires relatively high humidity, spray regularly (but leaves should be allowed to dry afterwards!) or keep in the terrarium
- Addition of nutrients: in spring/summer, fertilize moderately every 6-8 weeks with diluted organ. Fertilize with liquid fertilizer
- If possible, always water below the leaves and avoid water on the leaves.
