Description
Its intricately patterned leaves with light green speckles on a deep green background have given this Scindapsus its nickname, as its pattern is reminiscent of snake skin. Their beauty and rarity make them a must-have for all plant fans. You can let them climb up a moss stick or Xaxim plates in a terrarium or keep them on the windowsill using climbing aids.
• Delivery: You will receive an offshoot with aerial roots and 2-4 leaves.
• Growth type: climbing
• Origin: Tropical rainforests of Southeast Asia
• Other names: Spotted Ivy, Scindapsus Pictus Snake Skin
Ben's care tips:
• We recommend keeping the cutting in moist sphagnum moss until it has rooted. Then it can be potted in the soil recommended under the point substrate.
• Location/light requirements: partially shaded to bright, avoid direct sunlight.
• Substrate: Ben's Philodendron & Monstera Soil, special soil
• Temperature: optimal at 27° C (day), 18° C (night)
• Watering: Keep the substrate moist and water when the upper substrate layer begins to dry with lukewarm water that is low in lime, but avoid waterlogging. Water less in winter.
• Humidity: requires relatively high humidity, spray regularly (leaves should be allowed to dry afterwards!) or place in the bathroom
• Nutrient addition: moderately every 2-4 weeks in spring/summer with diluted organ. Fertilize moderately with liquid fertilizer
• Should be pruned occasionally if you want it to remain bushy.
