Description
Cultivated as a crop in many countries of Southeast Asia due to its edible bulbs, this giant arum is also captivating as an ornamental plant due to its striking appearance. Its black-green, brightly spotted trunk can grow up to two meters long, which, together with its dark green foliage, almost gives it the appearance of a small tree. However, its long purple flower bulbs, which form when well cared for and are surrounded by a large, brightly spotted bracts, are a particular eye-catcher.
