Description
A particularly interesting rarity for collectors is this Peruvian Monstera Obliqua. Like all forms of Monstera Obliqua, it is of relatively delicate growth, but the holes of this regional form can sometimes become so large that the leaves look as if they have more holes than leaf substance. Although obliquas are actually found throughout the Amazon Basin, they are still very difficult to find in the wild. They are more fragile than other Monstera species, as their leaves are almost parchment thin, and are therefore better kept in a terrarium.

Ben's tips on plant care:
- We recommend that you continue to keep the cutting in Sphagnum moss. The cutting will grow roots quickly in warm temperatures and high humidity, and will then form leaves.
- Location/Light requirements: indirect light (about 12 hrs long), avoid direct sun.
- Substrate: Ben's Philodendron & Monstera Soil, special soil
- Temperature: optimal at 20-24° C, do not let cool down below 18° C
- Watering: water about 1x per week when the top layer of substrate begins to dry, but avoid waterlogging at all costs. Water less in winter.
- Humidity: Requires high humidity, best kept in the terrarium.
- Nutrient addition: In spring/summer about every 4-6 weeks only moderately with diluted liquid fertilizer.
- Ideally, observe plant more closely to gently adjust care to its needs, if necessary.
