Description

This enchanting Raphidophora is rarely found in the trade and is particularly impressive due to its unusual, mint-colored leaf pattern. As it is one of the shingle plants whose leaves cling flat to the substrate on which they grow, it is best cultivated by providing it with a peat moss stick or untreated softwood for climbing.
The product photos show examples of the plant. You will receive a specimen that corresponds to the product photos in terms of size, shape and coloring.
- Delivery: You will receive a cutting with 2-3 leaves and aerial roots.
- Growth type: climbing
- Origin: Rainforests of India, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand and China
- Other names: Rhaphidophora hongkongensis, shingle plant

Ben's tips on plant care:

- We recommend keeping the cuttings in moist sphagnum moss until they have formed roots. It can then be potted up in the soil recommended in the substrate section.
- Location/light requirements: partial shade to light without direct sunlight
- Substrate: Ben's Philodendron & Monstera Soil
- Temperature: optimal at 26° C (day), 16-18° C (night), do not allow to cool below 12°C
- Watering: Keep the substrate moist and water approx. once a week when the top layer of substrate starts to dry, using lukewarm, low-lime water, but avoid waterlogging. Water less in winter.
- Humidity: requires high humidity, use a humidifier or place it in the terrarium
- Addition of nutrients: In spring/summer only moderate amounts of liquid fertilizer every 4-6 weeks.
- The plant needs a suitable substrate for climbing, e.g. untreated softwood or a peat moss stick.
